About Helen Macgregor
I am currently an Assistant Statistician working at the Scottish Government. I chose to work here as I am interested in using statistics to describe the world around us and informing important decisions using this information. I particularly enjoy taking skills that I learned at the University of Glasgow, such as Machine Learning, and seeing how they can be applied for the data I have access to. I also enjoy using statistical programs like R and SAS which helps to make my job more efficient. In particular, I enjoy using R Shiny to create great looking dashboards which provide as much information that user wants right at their fingertips.
