Visual Assistant Managers are part of the managerial team who oversees in-store operations such as sales and visuals according to Groupe Dynamite's policies and procedures. Duties include overseeing sales and customer service in-store, providing customer service and demonstrating brand selling skills. In this role, I carried out brand image and visual presentation requirements to uphold high standards for the workplace team.

I support internal and external Shelter operations to meet the needs of the homelessness population. Some responsibilities include onboarding and training process, policy and procedure development and implementation, and day-to-day programming updates, Philosophies rooted in trauma-informed approaches, housing first, inclusion and diversity are emphases throughout Shelter engagement with those we walk with.

I oversaw short and long-term projects contributing to the sustainability of Shelter programming meeting the systemic barriers of homelessness and housing crisis. Some projects include developing partnerships, enriching internal programming, budget and allocate internal resources, and research best practices supporting the housing first model. In this role, I developed a Donation Center program for Shelter to meet the unique needs of clients through donor relations, supervision of a volunteer team and inventory adjustments,

In this role, I provide direct support to clients experiencing homelessness and various barriers towards stable housing, Support responsibilities would include intakes, janitorial and food services duties, medication management, housing plan conversations, data entry on HIFIS and crisis prevention and management. Housing first and trauma-informed practices were actively used to engage with clients, staff, volunteers and community partners, Alongside, systems navigation skills were used to support clients with unique goal-setting towards housing readiness and stability.

In this short-term contract, I provided in-office and outreach support to clients registering for food support through the regular Hamper Program and Christmas Hamper program. Some responsibilities included conducting intakes with individuals and families, data entry and auditing on Link2Feed, coordinating volunteers, liaising with community partners and crisis management.

This role allowed me to support a co-ed caseload of Supportive Housing Tenants enrich housing and life skills with the goal to transition to independent living. I was responsible for tenant housing stability, case management and data integrity, community event planning, fostering connections to the community and cultivate a professional and inclusive atmosphere. During this time I was also a Health and Safety representation implementing best practice to ensure a safe workplace.

With the opportunity as a Bachelor of Social Work Placement Student, in this role I supported with coordinating and providing employment services for youth and adult clients. My responsibilities would include client intake, partnership creation with employers, employment counselling, system navigation and implementation of trauma-informed and anti-oppressive frameworks.

This short-term role was a response to additional strains on the youth homelessness population during the COVID-19 pandemic. The role included crisis support, housing plans and support around early childhood trauma, implementation of Public Health COVID-19 standards and systems navigation geared towards youth.
