I had my own clay studio and made ceramic sculpture as well as functional claywork of many types. After perhaps five years of functional work, I added Raku-fired sculptural and other non-functional work to my repertoire. I really focused a lot on Raku, building kilns and firing aspects and experimenting with various types of Raku pieces. I fell in love with saggar-fired Raku and also had fun with barrel firing of saggar pieces.
