I currently work full time on a varied shift pattern, in a care home for troubled children. This is an exciting and challenging role where I work with children from all walks of life who have been put into care by social services. Whilst this role provides some very intense challenges, it is extremely rewarding. I am a firm favourite amongst the group and have been able to use my experiences and qualifications to connect with them and help them to better themselves in every way. My overall goal is to get them ready to face up to the challenges of the real world, and help them to become valuable members of society. I am continuing to study an NVQ for this role, however I have already achieved qualifications for different children's issues such as domestic abuse, mental abuse, and online dangers.My personal interests include watching football and other sports, days out with my family and children, and general socialising. Music is also a considerable interest of mine and is a great way for me to relax and unwind. I most enjoy meeting new people and creating new relationships, listening to people’s experiences and life lessons. I am partial to good humour and I am a polite, well mannered individual and enjoy helping others personally and professionally. I have a huge passion for helping others which is what drives me every single day. Finding a role that allows me to do that to the best of my ability is my goal.
