I have made a career out of leading in the high-stress, fast-paced environments of restaurants and air travel. I have a keen understanding of customer and consumer needs and drive an exceptional customer experience. I’m agile and experienced at making decisions on the fly. I’ve built strategic partnerships, negotiated with vendors to reduce costs, and effectively managed conflict at 30,000 feet. I love taking (smart) chances, getting my feet wet in new projects, and creating opportunities for others to thrive. As a restaurant owner and operator, I built Volo Restaurant Wine Bar and Kitsch’n on Roscoe, two highly-awarded Chicago restaurants. We’ve been able to keep them open and our staff employed during the pandemic; which is no small feat. Any start-up entrepreneur or business owner can tell you that you learn a wide variety of skills when getting a business off the ground and maintaining its success. I’m adept at hiring, purchasing, people management, operations, negotiation, influence, marketing, sales, relationship building and most of all – providing an unparalleled customer experience. I speak Italian and French and have traveled extensively in my American Airlines role. I have a global business acumen and strong ability to see things from multiple vantage points, as a consumer and producer, as an owner and guest. As a leader, I’m able to effectively manage and prevent conflict in high-pressure situations. I identify gaps and creatively problem-solve to find solutions. I thrive when I can update and improve a system or process for customers, stakeholders, and the business. Communication is key. AWARDSAmerican Airlines• Professional Flight Attendant (PFA) Award.
