Interning at Hazelden, an intensive outpatient substance abuse facility, I fulfilled 700 practicum hours toward my MAF degree. I provided weekly individual and family counseling and co-facilitated group therapy 12 hours a week. I assisted in organizing and facilitating the weekly psycho-educational groups for clients as well as the weekly family night program attended by an average of 30 people. I was also responsible for developing personalized treatment plans as well as continuing care plans for the patients.
