StrategistImec Jul 2021 - Jan 2023The EDiT (Enabling Digital Transformation) department at imec is responsible for conducting demand-driven research and development in collaboration with various public organizations and institutes. The department focuses on addressing "wicked problems", which are complex social or cultural issues that are difficult or impossible to solve due to incomplete or contradictory knowledge, the large number of people and opinions involved, the significant economic burden, and the interconnected nature of these problems with other problems. The EDiT team has a multidisciplinary skillset and approaches wicked problems from multiple angles, taking into account technology, user needs, business models, legal considerations, security, and privacy. My role at the EDiT department was to generate new ideas and secure grants and funds to support the department's research and innovation efforts. This meant identifying promising opportunities and finding the resources needed. By providing colleagues with the support they need to pursue their ideas and projects, I contributed to the overall impact and success of the department. -
