Hellen has completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Management of Foreign Relations at the Center for Foreign Relations and B.A in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Dar es salaam. Further, she completed a Certificate in Asset Based and Citizen Led Development, The Future of Work and Workers, Social Enterprises Certificate, Women’s Economic Empowerment: A Livelihoods & Markets Approach and Community Led Solutions Certificate all at Coady International Institute St. Francis Xavier University. Hellen has received awards and honors from China-Africa Youth Festival-China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Data Story Telling, Tanzania Data Lab, dLab & D4D, Uongozi Leadership Program- East Africa Uongozi Institute, Change in Tanzania World Camp-International Youth Fellowship and Kilimanjaro Model of United Nations General Assembly (KI-MUN-GA)-Youth of the United Nation Association.Apart from that, Hellen has attended different pieces of training and workshops in and outside the country, which managed her to acquire high negotiation skills, listening, debating, exchange for learning, lobbying, advocacy, persuasiveness, and confidence to deal with people in person, phone, and the Internet.Hellen has a career as a Gender Expert, Senior Qualitative Interviewer, Transcriber and Translator, Project Coordinator & Implementer, Election Observer, Report Writer, Advocacy, Lobbying, Presentation, Facilitation, Content Generation and Event Coordination Skills.As a researcher, Hellen has spent more than 8 years engaging both in quantitative and qualitative research on human and scientific research, transcriber and translator of audios and transcripts. As such, she worked as a researcher with the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS), Ifakara Health Institute (IHI), Savana Forever Tanzania (SFTZ), Research and Education for Democracy in Tanzania (REDET) as election observer in 2020 , CSK Research Solution, Tanzania Institute of Monitoring and Evaluation (TIME), Sokoine University of Agriculture, Norges Vel, NACOPHA, EU, OPM and other organizations as a data collector, analyst, transcriber, and translator. Hellen worked as a Protocol Internee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and currently, she also worked as a TGNP Internal Consultant to advocate and lobby for gender-responsive policy, plans and budget development and implementation both at the Local and National level. Further, Hellen is passionate to work with the community for them to realize their potential and advocate for a girl child's right to education.
