During my internship, I got the opportunity to work with 2 teams at The Times - the Audio team and Publishing team- Improved NYT Audio’s features of Queuing, Following, and Offline experience by providing research solutions - Designed an MVP concept for Audio’s Assistive Access to boost accessibility- Spearheaded the concept development and design for the first wireframing kit- Successfully designed components for INK, the design system used to build internal tools used within the NYT ecosystem- Supported work on redesigning the internal planning tool used by the newsroom to plan and track their day-to-day news release formats, from streamlining workflow statuses to designing interaction patterns with the story.

Designed an internal solution for the Department of Protection (DEP) of Montogomery County. The department is responsible for the delivery of recycling bins and carts throughout the largest county in Maryland. A tool was developed to streamline their scheduling and delivery tracking process for over 1000 requests per week, reducing their time consumption by 50%.Tasks accomplished were- Transformed a highly manual and repetitive process involving multiple software into a streamlined automated system - Led multiple feedback cycles with the customers to gain constant feedback and insights into our process like interviews, field mapping, and user testing- Designed a holistic concept using a design system - Collaborated with the IT team to work around government constraints like budget, security, and licenses. Our designs included detailed developer documentation to aid in seamless developed

Part of a study funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The research focuses on food insecurity & wastage in PG County, Maryland, it aims to streamline the demand-supply of food distribution using technology. The proposed solution was approved for Phase 2.- I led a literature review focusing on food insecurity barriers, solutions, and existing technologies. The research informed the interview format for 15 focus groups involving farmers, food banks, and end consumers.- Conceptualised and designed an end-to-end solution for stakeholders involving food banks, government, and end consumers- Conducted thematic coding on the focus group interview to gain insights into current barriers faced

Led the design team at Era of We to build a product to digitalize the supply chain.- Led the design team from conceptualization to development of an end-to-end portal for seven stakeholders. Conducted multiple interviews with global stakeholders to gain deeper insights into the problem- Initiated a top-down implementation of feature updates and product cycles- Significantly improved communication by instating standard procedures and channels between the teams during the pandemic to accomplish efficiency- Took on the role of a Project Manager within the project to facilitate FED, BED, and Social Media teams
