Raghav Kumar Email and Phone Number
As a 10-year-old, I enjoyed building tiny forts on the roof to play Monopoly with my friends.I loved making these forts using cricket wickets (stumps) and bed sheets. At 14, I met a young architect couple from New Zealand. They had come to India to build a tiny bamboo shelter at the ghats of Varanasi for women to change clothes. The stick model and the social aspect had a lasting impact on me.I went on to study architecture, not knowing better. After graduating, I wished to work in rural areas and use my skills to make a difference. But my dad convinced me to take a corporate job." You cannot help others with an empty stomach. " my father said.I joined a multi-national architecture firm. My boss and colleagues were incredible. I worked on projects ranging from a playschool to high-rise buildings. After three years of dedicated work and a few grey hairs, I realized he wasn't meant to do a 9-5 job. I didn't want to climb the corporate ladder.Even though I was working on platinum-rated green buildings, It wasn't sustainable. I wasn't making a difference. I felt disconnected from the work.At the same time, I found the tiny house movement intriguing.I quit the rat race to travel and follow my curiosity.I planned to travel to south-east Asia and get the skills required to live a rural life. The Pandemic ruined that plan, but my journeys led me to move to a forest with my brother Ansh.I believe nature doesn't need saving but - we do.When I am not building a mud house, recording a podcast, or experimenting with materials, you can find me writing, reading books, trail running, and exploring self-improvement.My chief source of happiness is my family and friends. Also, I love my routines.→Join our Tiny Farm Friends newsletterhttps://www.tinyfarmlab.com/newsletterEvery week we send a mail with tiny insights and resources to help you follow your countryside dream, live a simple life, and create art and build with natural materials. If you want to explore 1:1 consulting, visit our site:https://www.tinyfarmlab.com/services/consultationEmail: tinyfarmlab@gmail.comTwitter: @hellorgvkInstagram: @hellorgvk @tinyfarmlab @tinyfarmfriendsYouTube: @tinyfarmlabSpotify: Tiny Farm Friends Podcast
