This role is the culmination of a series of roles held within Telstra over the last decade. In these roles, I was directly involved in contract managing the Definitive Agreement (DA) executed in 2011 between Telstra, the Australian Government and NBN Co, for the delivering of infrastructure from Telstra to NBN Co and facilitating the NBN rollout.In the early years of the DA, I designed, developed and documented invoicing processes within eBPMS and IT frameworks and was involved in implementing and user acceptance testing the process solutions. These invoicing processes were integral to Telstra’s ongoing billing commitment to NBN Co, spanning a very complex billing structure and covering thousands of chargeable records worth more than $1.2 billion in revenue to Telstra each year. Timeliness and accuracy in billing are critical, with Telstra subject to contractual penalties which could amount to over $1.5m monthly revenue loss in the event of delays.The DA was revised in 2015, necessitating re-modelling of established processes and recalculating of historical invoices from the original DA’s commencement. I established and managed the numerous project plans required to ensure continued efficient operation of Telstra’s billing processes and other delivery solutions impacted by the revised DA, including through use of numerous project management tools, effective change control management, risk control and mitigation plans and effective stakeholder engagement.Over my time with Telstra, I have become a subject matter expert in Telstra’s extremely complex invoicing system, liaising regularly with NBN Co’s commercial management team and numerous project delivery teams within Telstra. This has been reflected in my retention in the revised DA delivery team from its initial 60+ people through to the final few people retained for ultimate completion of delivery.
