Performing all or some of the following duties in both roles with varying levels of responsibility:• Overseeing the finance and accounting function of the group with meticulous attention to detail• Reviewing complex consolidation with various associates, subsidiaries and divisions in multiple currencies• Ensuring the timely preparation and distribution of various consolidated reports including annual financial statements, for a range of stakeholders• Supervising, coaching, training, motivating and mentoring personnel, setting clear goals and expectations, providing relevant feedback and discipline as required• Establishing, implementing and overseeing effective systems, processes and controls• Customer service and liaison, building strong working relationships and effective communication channels with key stakeholders, resolving complaints and enquiries• Liaising with external auditors to ensure audits are properly planned, carried out and that financial reports are prepared within set timelines• Researching accounting matters and preparing opinions • Assessing the impact of new accounting standards on the group including IFRS 16, 15 and 9• Completing complex accounting assessments for goodwill impairment and going concern• Engaging with executive and senior management to identify and implement activities required to improve operational and financial performance• Conducting debt negotiations with the bank, while monitoring debt compliance certifications and reporting• Supporting the preparation of a five-year business plan through analysing local and global industry and technological trends, as well as considering macroeconomic factors• Defining and coordinating the development of financial models incorporating key activity drivers that substantiate financial results• Preparing business cases for significant projects that are key to the operational plan of the company, considering strategic and financial implications
