At Dub Studio I created a new type of vinyl recording service and introduced a range of innovative audio products to the UK music scene. I carried out the R&D, sourced the studio space, set up the equipment and brought together a team to work on the project.I developed a brand for the business, built the website and set up the online ordering system. I developed marketing opportunities via the music press and social media and spread the word in person via guest lectures, seminars and music events.I ran the studio and organised the cutting schedule to ensure the team met their delivery deadlines. I looked after our client accounts and supervised the customer service, stock control, book-keeping and sales.Over a 20-year period, I expanded the studio client base to a worldwide market, and was instrumental in bringing countless DJs and record labels over to a new format. Dub Studio helped to ensure the survival of vinyl as a medium, and paved the way for a generation of artists to use vinyl in their music business models, while at the same time inspiring a wave of new to studios to do the same.
