Our deep connections and knowledge of our Northern Rivers communities means we enable place-based solutions and maximise the social impact of our generous donors.NRCF is building a sustainable legacy for the future. We are a community-based independent foundation where donations are pooled and invested in ethical impact funds, with these funds supporting our grant programs. We provide a permanent source of funds to the community year after year. As our supporters continue to donate, our investment fund grows, and so does the grant funding.NRCF has the largest footprint of any community foundation in Australia; we cover areas from Tweed to Grafton, from the ocean all the way up past Kyogle, Woodenbong and Casino. We have about 300,000 people in our region and encompass seven local government areas.

Social Futures is a social justice organisation based in Northern NSW. We have more than 40 years’ experience as a regional leader, advocating with the communities we work in; working in partnership with others; and providing services that promote inclusion, fairness and social justice. Our work encompasses homelessness and housing supports, youth and family services, programs that promote genuine participation for people with disability, community sector support, professional development, and advocacy for positive systemic change.The role has responsibility for managing social strategy programs, market identification, business proposal development, grant writing, procurement, and development of social impact strategies. I lead organisational sustainability programs and diversification of income streams, including purpose-aligned funding and tender opportunities, developing and managing social business and enterprise revenue opportunities, and attracting social impact investment. In managing social strategy, I hold responsibilities for maintaining current programs, cross sector partnerships and delivery of sector development and innovation programs.

We aim to contribute to the Government's commitment to halving the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians within a decade. Our programs support a broad range of activities and projects that are responsive to the needs of Indigenous Australians, employers, and their communities to: - assist Indigenous Australians to develop sustainable businesses and economic opportunities in urban, regional and remote areas; - encourage real opportunities for sustainable employment; - encourage and support Indigenous Australians to take up training and employment opportunities; - help Indigenous communities, industry groups and employers to develop economic development and employment strategies.
