The overall objective of the project was to evaluate biomarkers in a prospective cohort of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients. The work included:• Assay development (ELISA based assay) using monoclonal antibodies, aiming to be applied as diagnostic, prognostic, and pharmacodynamic biomarkers.• Developing and optimizing an in vitro model of pulmonary fibrosis and evaluating the utility of ECM remodelling biomarkers as markers of treatment efficacy in an in vitro setting.• Statistical data processing, where I used R programming language.• Being a central contributor to several research projects for which I collaborated with various stakeholders, including the creation of Material Transfer Agreement (MTA).• Daily supervision for Master’s students and cooperation with technicians.• Writing articles and presenting data at conferences.
