I believe one of the biggest barriers to 'success' is our thinking which can create stress, worry, overload - putting pressure on ourselves, our relationships and our organisations. I spent years questioning myself, agonising over decisions, procrastinating and being a perfectionist (a toxic combination). I worried about what people thought of me, I needed validation and had unrealistic expectations of myself and others. I kept this well hidden - a senior leadership role, an experienced coach, trainer & facilitator, happily married with two amazing boys, close friends and family. I was juggling life successfully yet inside feeling turmoil.This manifested itself in behaviours such as working long hours, not saying ‘no’, imposter syndrome, not taking risks, avoiding hard conversations and putting other's needs before my own. I was operating from a base line of stress and self-doubt. I wasn't honest with myself and therefore others – often retreating into my head and not saying what I needed for fear of upsetting someone.That changed when I started working with Catherina O’Gorman, Founder of Think Love Education (TLE). I wanted to be a better coach, leader, mum, wife and overcome my limiting beliefs. I wanted clarity in my direction and to feel at peace and more content with life. I’d tried many things before yet nothing seemed to stick.Through working with Catherina and training as a Think Love Accredited Coach specifically using the TLE QUEST model, I've seen how my thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviours form my reality. I've learnt to detach myself from my limiting thinking and instead choose limitless thinking that works for me, not against me. It's a conscious choice I make every day.I hadn't realised how much I lived in fear even though I was pretty self aware! I also now realise I am not alone. We all share similar fears of not being liked, good enough, not strong enough, clever enough - whatever it might be – the programme of ‘not enough’ is running in the background and it is affecting us in work and relationships. As a coach, I help people shift their thinking to enable greater calm and acceptantce. It is from here that we can really can innovate, inspire and be our best for ourselves, our lives and our organisations.
