The report analyses the state of PPR reforms and sets out the path forward to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emerging pandemic threats. 🔹 Reinvigorating the Response to Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Co-convening a dialogue series in collaboration with Wilton Park, this effort aims at developing a roadmap with actionable recommendations to address the burden of AMR and to inform the AMR High-Level Meeting during UNGA 2024. 🔹 Advancing Healthy Societies: Collaborating with the United National University International Institute for Global Health facilitated the development of strategies to strengthen collaborative efforts across urban, food, and energy systems. These efforts are geared towards benefiting both people and the planet, contributing to the advancement of healthy societies.🔹 Building a Global Coalition for Better Liver Health: Providing strategic support to EASL, I played a pivotal role in strategizing the creation of a global coalition comprising leading professional societies to advance liver health. My role revolves around three key axes, each aimed at driving impactful change in this critical area:🔍 Key Responsibilities:🔹 Developing the Evidence Base: I co-lead efforts to contribute thought leadership that advances the knowledge base. My work centres on translating evidence into actionable insights on a global scale, setting research and action agendas that have far-reaching impacts.🔹 Building a Community of Practice: I am expanding the community of stakeholders involved in addressing chronic liver diseases, engaging policymakers and influencers, amplifying our reach and influence in shaping the policy agenda to drive meaningful change.🔹 Strategizing the Road Ahead: I develop strategies aimed at revolutionizing responses underestimated, undetected, and untreated diseases. This involves forging alliances and partnerships between public and private entities, fostering collaborative efforts to address this pressing public health challenge.

🌍 Facilitating Crucial Conversations in Global Health and DevelopmentAt Wilton Park, I convened pivotal discussions on global health and international development initiatives, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to explore pressing challenges and foster collaboration on a global scale.🔍 Key Highlights:🔹 UK International Development Strategy Dialogues: Led a series of dialogues centered around the UK International Development Strategy, bringing together key stakeholders from governmental, non-profit, and private sectors to strategize and align efforts for impactful interventions.🔹 Collaborative Endeavors with the Swedish Government and AHPSR: Co-convened a high-profile series of dialogues on "Healthy Societies" in partnership with the Swedish Government and the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR). The series served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, fostering innovative approaches toward achieving healthy societies.🔹 Innovative Financing for Public Health in Africa: An initiative exploring innovative financing mechanisms to bolster African public health initiatives. These efforts involved engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, international organizations, and private sector entities, to devise sustainable financing models for advancing healthcare infrastructure and services.🔹Shifting Power in Global Health: A collaborative endeavor with United Nations University, Development Reimagined, and Wilton Park to bring together diverse groups of stakeholders–especially under-represented voices–providing a safe space for open and honest discussion about shifting the power in global health.

🌍 Engaging with the Federal Government to scale nutrition programming🔍 Key achievements:🔹 Development of Nutrition Programme Strategy and Rollout Management:Directed the development of a strategy for a new nutrition program and oversaw the rollout to 1,500 health facilities. This initiative reached >1.5 million children within the first 18 months of implementation.🔹 Collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria for Capacity Building:Spearheaded a collaborative effort with the Federal Government of Nigeria to conceptualize and execute a training program aimed at enhancing the capacity of over 900 health workers and improving service delivery within the target areas.🔹 Negotiations with Stakeholders for National Nutrition Survey Design and Funding:Played a pivotal role in facilitating negotiations between national and international stakeholders to design a national nutrition survey. Successfully balanced competing priorities to build consensus.
