I was head hunted for this role out of the Emergency Control Centre as I was recognised to be a committed and hard-working individual who frequently led the team and liaised with senior members of staff in the organisation. My responsibilities under this role include creating content for a series of wellbeing related webinars; managing key projects for other departments, including the marketing department under my own initiative; working to tight deadlines; producing reports with data from our incident management system; managing content on the Higher Education website with CMS; assisting directors with PA type responsibilities; managing partnerships and liaising with external stakeholders. I have also created new processes and have reviewed and updated various policies across the business, creating training materials and communications to accompany them.

Working within the Emergency Control Centre, a 24-hour contact centre covering all Unite properties. I provided first response support to students across the country on a wide range of issues that may arise within the properties. My responsibilities included monitoring the fire alarms, reporting on emergency incidents, scheduling tasks to the maintenance teams and liaising with 3rd party contractors on specialist jobs. During my role I have developed my client care skills by directly resolving student issues in addition to processing bookings and taking payments from students. I have had training in delivering excellent customer service and also on being compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation. The role uses a wide range of systems and programs including Microsoft products, Cisco phone software, Manage Engine and QFM Facilities and Maintenance Management software. Whilst in this post I was also selected to become a social media rep where I would manage content and reply to enquiries across various platforms with the use of Hootsuite and other social media management software.

Working for Exmouth Town Council as a Tourist Information Service Advisor delivering and managing the tourist information provision in Exmouth. I was responsible for leading a team of volunteers, recording and presenting footfall data, monitoring stock levels, producing a weekly rota as well as providing the public with any information they required. The new service was initially set up on a temporary basis though it was a great success which resulted in the council deciding to make it a permanent feature for the town.
