Immersed in the homestead farm lifestyle; living and working with a host family and other volunteers and interacting with the local farming communityPlanted, cared for, harvested, preserved, and prepared for sale or consumption organic produce grown in the property's greenhouse, gardens, and orchardEnsured the well-being of a herd of sheep, cows, and a handful of chickens including feeding, mucking, security, and birthing Engaged with the Windam County community through both volunteer and paid work at the West River Community Project's weekly pizza night, performed roles in all parts of the process including prep, cooking in the woodfire oven, customer service as well as training other volunteers in various parts of said processes Worked with Robert DuGrenier to install his Vitroverse installation at the Southern Vermont Art CenterTook on personal projects, including improving my own dwelling and learning to cook with the local ingredientsParticipated in community events such as weekly ceramics nights and jam sessions
