Western Eagle foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding people in need with it's food boxes and other bargain items. I Volunteer on floor with furniture/food display, cleaning, stocking, and preparing food boxes for customers. I enjoy spending time here every weekend helping the workers and people in need. I'm a Clinical volunteer on the third floor, prior to the nation wide shutdown, and help with in-patient calls. I assisted as much as I could with nurses, CNA's, and NP's. I discharged patients from their rooms, disinfected tops, supplying small food snacks, blankets, sheets, and assisted the Nurses in anyway that we are allowed to.

I work with researchers by growing up N. benthamiana plants to produce monoclonal antibodies to combat against serious human diseases and conditions that are a threat to bio-defense and global health.

Within the lab I do my part of cloning, purifying, and testing bacteria cells to produce antibodies to inhibit mmp-14 which is associated with the spread of breast cancer. We also deal with other disease like osteoporosis and Alzheimer as side projects, which requires similar procedural methods. My task consist of being able grow cells, mini-prep samples of DNA, digest and ligate them together, transform (put plasmids into cells), sequencing the DNA plasmids, purify monoclonal antibodies, and test if they work as intended by the professor/graduate student. I work hand in hand with my other colleagues to finish the job in a timely manner. Mistakes are inevitable in a research lab ,however, the only way to learn is if we fail.

A fantastic first place to start my job experience, The company is incredible with their emphasis on good treatment of their animal livestock and sourcing their vegetables from the best place possible. The idea of Food with integrity was what drew me towards the place in the first place, and their food was what kept me there for the summer. My working experience there was fantastic, I was in charge with the line and opened the store to make the salsa and get the salsa portion set up. This means I grated the cheese, made corn salsa, pico de gallo, prepared green and red tomatillo, sour cream, and the honey vinaigrette. Guacamole and taco salad was not under my jurisdiction. I would complete my task every morning and help others who needed assistance in finishing their task. I've dealt with difficult customers and got appraised from it as I treated the situation with calmness and sincere concern for the customer. Cooperation, speed, and humility are what I drew from my experiences working there. These qualities will make you enjoyed by everyone and make you a good employee.
