About Billy Henson

I've always had a strong interest in victimology. That interest was further fueled by my graduate work. My dissertation, and most of my research since, has focused largely on victimization, with much of it integrating victimology and cybercrime. I've always been fascinated with how technology influences our behaviors, experiences, and actions. That fascination seemed to naturally bleed over into my interest in victimization, and now, much of my research focuses on the prevalence and predictors of online victimization. In addition to research, I've worked hard to introduce students to victimology by helping to develop victimology classes, certificate programs, and concentrations across multiple universities.
