I managed and controlled inventory for a 20 million dollar store. I then moved into receiving supervisor position, which allowed me to see the backend of operations. Tracking accuracy of incoming freight and incoming and outgoing transfers, as well as managing daily contact with vendors for credit. I then moved into lumber and building materials and millwork supervisor, this entailed inventory accuracy, loading and unloading of trucks, overhead organization, job lot quantity inventory control. I then moved into commercial sales as a supervisor handling large contractor accounts as well as handling the Eastern half of Canada. In August 2013 I was promoted to Specialty Assistant Store Manager, this entailed tracking and managing company goals and expectations for approximately 20-30 sales specialists as well as working with 40 additional associates to maintain a positive growth in sales. My daily duties included tracking sales, mark downs, expenses, hours, customer service expectation levels, and resolving customer issues. I am currently a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager, I transferred within the company recently to further expand my knowledge of the company from all aspects. My current role carries a lot of the same responsibilities as a Specialty Manager. I now carry more of the responsibilities of the visual expectations of the store. I have assembled teams with specific duties for play executions, store map, store cleanliness, in stock and down stock, and customer service. Show less
