Herb Jensen has more than 40 years’ experience as a licensed architect, practicing in such locations as Chicago, Denver, Grand Rapids, Detroit and Madison, WI. He is licensed in twelve states, NCARB certified and a LEED accredited professional. As a Department Manager for Mead & Hunt, his recent work has focused on the day-to-day departmental and project management of multi-discipline aviation architecture teams, consultants, and client user groups. He has also had significant leadership roles within the American Institute of Architects (AIA) over the course of his career. Herb has an extensive range of project experience and has designed and/or managed numerous corporate, civic and aviation projects involving programming, conceptual design, design development, and construction documents. He has been instrumental in developing QAQC programs to assure quality architectural documentation of projects. His project involvement has ranged from small remodels to large-scale building complexes within both the public and private sectors. He has been responsible for managing all project phases including project start-up, determining staffing and scheduling needs, establishing and monitoring budgets, coordinating end-of-phase deliverables, reviewing final documents and overseeing construction administration, with a proven ability to adapt to the unique needs of a variety of project types.
