Lead Joint Exercise Operational Environment Planner
CurrentPlans, organizes, and directs support to Joint and Multinational exercises on behalf of the Chairman's Exercise Program and Joint Exercise Program. First Priority: Serves as Lead Exercise Operational Environment (OE) Planner for Globally Integrated Exercises to include the accurate depiction of adversaries. Second Priority: Provides Government oversight and leadership to a team of 55+ personnel in the development, coordination, and employment of complex studies, databases and programs of instruction related worldwide operational environments designed to challenge CCMD and JTF staffs and insure the most accurate and timely training is produced. Provides oversight of contracting team functional support to GIEs and CCMD exercises to include media support, MSEL management, scenario development, OPFOR, Instructor Controllers, threat networks, and OE. Third Priority: Provides Joint Training Environment Branch updates and reviews Joint Service Team contract. Crafts training concepts, authors’ plans, and implements innovative and adaptive programs to improve and expand capabilities to better support the customer. Oversees the planning and employment of numerous model and simulation computer systems and their operators. Supervises a formal classroom instruction and computer based training program. Develops and presents oral and written correspondence and briefings to flag and senior level officers and civilians. Represents the command at national level conferences and meetings. Plans, designs, coordinates, executes, controls, and evaluates the operational environment in Globally Integrated Exercises and other exercises assigned throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC). Leads exercise design, scenario, road-to-crisis development, and master scenario event list (MSEL) database development for supported exercises.
