As a staff writer for the Imperial Valley Press, a daily newspaper based on the California/Mexico border, I cover a large number of issues, including education, local economy, city and county matters and culture and entertainment.Along with the usual beats a writer with a daily is faced, I also specialized on international relations, as one of Imperial Valley's cities sits shoulder to shoulder with Mexicali, Mexico, the capital city of Baja California.
