Founder of HBM Edu Tech, a passionate educator and learning and development specialist. Since my early years as a maths teacher, I always try to put learners and students' aspirations first. “Nothing is more motivational to me than to see the potential of a learner awakening, and then the resulting confidence that grows from those first successes”.My background as educator and years of experience planning and designing suitable curricula, assisted me to provide creative, engaging and successful interventions. Solutions provided included eLearning simulations, tutorials, drills, instructor led solutions and even boardgames to teach and train business processes and knowledge. This included the reassessment of learning content by considering electronic interventions and online strategiesI have taught and lectured from primary schools to tertiary levels and in various corporate business environments. Previous experiences as a school principal, national L&D manager and global learning facilitator have equipped me with the skill and expertise to teach and coordinate educational objectives to diverse target groups – across various culture groups in South Africa. I try to stay informed on latest developments regarding education, acquired BA, BA (Hons), M.Ed and eventually a PhD in computer assisted education. My PhD thesis explored the readiness of warehouse workers to be subjected to elearning – an unlikely target group for this teaching strategy. As a result of this research, I have been invited to present papers at international conferences (IASTED, SAPICS, TUT, CPUT). I have recently been accepted at SABPP as a master HR professional. My personal passion is to guide and support the careers of employees and would-be employees, to be skilled, knowledgeable and effective in their respective roles.
