I like working on complex problems in the boundary between hardware and software: Systems Architecture, EDA, programmable hardware, computer architecture, etc. I was a professor at CMU for seven years, and have worked on two Silicon Valley semiconductor startup companies now. In the first, I was one of the founding team members. In the second, I joined right after the announcement of the first product.
