I like working on complex problems in the boundary between hardware and software: Systems Architecture, EDA, programmable hardware, computer architecture, etc. I was a professor at CMU for seven years, and have worked on two Silicon Valley semiconductor startup companies now. In the first, I was one of the founding team members. In the second, I joined right after the announcement of the first product. I have experience with the whole life cycle.Key Strengths:* Experience managing hardware, software and HW/SW architecture teams.* Understand and recall the dependencies and interactions in very complex systems.* My greatest asset is my ability to understand when and why engineers do not understand something about a technological idea. I'm also good at finding different ways to explain things until everyone understands.
