Hermela Engida | Empowering Women in STEM I am pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at Heriot Watt University Dubai graduating in 2025. I am passionate about helping female high school students pursue a degree in STEMAs the Vice President of the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) student chapter, I actively contribute to promoting sustainable construction practices among student. Additionally, I serve as the national Head of Engagements for a youth organization called AIESEC, playing a pivotal role in engaging youth aged 17-30. My focus is on activating youth potential and directing their attention towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I have demonstrated an outstanding performance in my academics receiving two principals Awards from Heriot Watt University in the year 2021 and 2022. As an Ethiopian based in Dubai, I speak English and Amharic and demonstrate intercultural skills on a daily basis.I look forward to discussing more about youth empowerment and sustainable construction, if you have similar interests I would love to connect.
