From filing out the initial petition to creating motions, I see a clients' case from beginning to end with the assistance of the attorney. As a business and humanitarian immigration law firm, petitions vary from PERM to asylum to deportation defense.

Outreach to hard-to-reach communities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties where there is a high percentage of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) eligible youth who have not yet applied. Outreach is done through schools, religious institutions and community organizations. Advisory Committee provides guidance, advice and information to Bay Area DACA Collaborative in issues concerning DACA outreach, immigration reform advocacy and efforts related to DREAMer engagement.

Assisted in annual review and selection of scholarship awardees and community service awardees, fundraising efforts, and scholarship workshops. Workshops were conducted around various Northern California college campuses, usually in partnership with a past scholarship recipient. Funder meetings, or fundraising events were held in various cities around the San Francisco Bay Area and served not only as fundraisers, but as network opportunities for past and future recipients.

With a group of Bay Area youth, in conjunction with other youth groups across the nation, advocated for the passage of the federal DREAM Act and the CA Dream Act. Through direct action and online organizing, assisted in the mobilization of Bay Area youth. Via fundrasing efforts, advocacy was possible in Sacramento and Washington, DC, where youth met with various members of legislature. In 2010, the federal DREAM Act successfully passed the House of Representative and in 2011, the CA Dream Act was signed into law.

Created an advisory board comprised of 33 organizations representing Californians of various backgrounds to aid in the reform of the ballot initiative system. On a quarterly basis, organized advisory board meetings to discuss research updates in addition to weekly team meetings. Coordinated statewide tour to collect data on people's ideology towards the ballot initiative system. Presented final report to advisory board.
