On the same project as mentioned below (Siebel CRM implementation used worldwide, serving our Wholesale & Global Services divisions (order management, fault management, Sales and Marketing), following some internal re-organisation, we have merged the business analyst and design functions and blurred the boundaries that separate the two roles. I am now in charge of a combined team of business analysts and designers, both onshore (UK) and offshore (India).

I have taken overall management of the entire Business Analyst team on our Siebel platform. The platform is primarily dedicated to Major Business customers. Our team, made out of both onshore and offshore elements support multiple line of business, amongst which BT Global Services, BT Wholesale and certain elements of BT Retail. Functionalities we are working on include Sales & Marketing, Order Management and Fault Management. We support the 2 various aspects of our Siebel implementation:- a Front end Web element (BT.COM - BTWholesale.Com) allowing external users to automate orders using amongst others B2B capabilities- and an internal application for BT personnel world-wide.The platform interacts with various Back-End System and other CRM applications. Our team is currently interacting with 4 major programmes:- 21CN whose overall aim is to upgrade the overall BT infrastructure to provide cheaper faster services, reaching more locations in the globe than any other network- TSR to comply with the regulator Ofcom following for instance changes in the European legislation- our Existing Communities to constantly review and improve current functionality on the Siebel platform- and finally a BT wide initiative which aim is to rationalise IT systems: Siebel being key in the overall strategic architecture.

I am currently in charge of the Existing Communities on our Siebel platform. I manage a team of Business Analysts working on order / fault Placement, sales and marketing (Opportunity, campaign, bid management). The team is based onshore and offshore. As well as constantly reviewing the way we work, I have added a proactive element to the team’s objective to drive up system usage by identifying and advising communities that aren't currently using the application to do so.Previous work included the management of a Team of Business Analysts working on BT's undertaking to Ofcom and the migration of a Siebel 6 application to Siebel 7.8.As Certified Scrum Master and Agile Coach practitioner I am trying to help people adopt the Agile mindset. Rather than following the traditional waterfall approach, the project is currently working under the Agile Methodology, with a Release Planning Meeting at the start of the project, followed by Sprint Cycles to implement the requirements.

As a principal consultant with Customer Systems, a highly specialised CRM consulting company, my roles have been varied. Starting from more junior configuration positions, I very quickly progressed into taking charge of the most challenging aspects of the Siebel Design / implementation and specialised in areas such as EIM, Integration, upgrades. This led to senior team leading roles, responsible for whole functional areas from design up to the delivery phase (including analysis and requiremnts gathering). I have also conducted, led analysis and design of upgrade projects (upgrades from Siebel 4 to Siebel 5, 5 to 6 and up to 7.7), project managed and advised on how to best to implement Siebel to meet the users requirements.My experience of Siebel implementations is spread across a wide range of sectors including: Telecoms (BT, UK/Spain - MCI WorldCom, France), Pharmaceuticals (Boehringer, UK - Aventis, UK - Novartis, UK), Financial Institutions (ING, UK - HBOS, UK - Barclays, UK - WBBS, UK - Nomura, UK), Insurance (Axa, France/Belgium - Trygg-Baltica, Denmark) - Public sector (Braintree District Council, UK) - Consumer Goods (McCain, Belgium - Philip Morris, Belgium) - energy (nPower, UK) - manufacturing (Euromaster, France)

Prior to joining Customer Systems, as part of my National Service, I was responsible for IT at Kuhn Farm Machinery in Telford. My main responsibility was to implement the changes initiated by head office to their English subsidiary, including major changes in the way the Sales Force conducted their business with the introduction of laptops. I also performed day-to-day maintenance tasks, data analysis, reporting using AS400, Lotus Notes, and SQL queries. I participated to the functional design of their Web site, and supported the launch of new products such as Spare parts CD-ROMs to their dealers.
