I am a passionate believer in the power of storytelling. Through empathy, courage, and curiosity, I believe we are able to connect with one another in meaningful ways and to engage in the work of creating communities marked by equity and belonging. Your story matters, and we need you.My career began in residence life. As a Resident Assistant at Ball State University, I became passionate about college students' stories and community belonging. Through graduate school and my early career, I lived and worked in residence hall environments, juggling conduct, supervision, advising, and administrative responsibilities. I also gained skills and meaningful experiences in curriculum building and implementation. Since 2021, my work has pivoted to coalition-building and strategic planning related to college campus mental health. Throughout all this, I have found the same tenets to be grounding: empathy, courage, curiosity, and the value of the human story.
