As an Engineering Manager, I help manage the wild and wonderful idea-engine that is the engineering team. Sometimes I am asked to mentor and grow junior engineering managers, and serve as a peer to Senior managers as well as Directors. With over 12 years of experience in leading software engineering teams across various domains and industries, I bring technical expertise, domain knowledge, and industry experience to every project. I have an MBA from Saint Mary's University that focused on statistics, organizational theory, coaching, and managing organizational growth.My mission is to support and empower skilled and passionate engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development. I work closely with product and engineering leaders to set the technical direction, build and communicate strategy, and improve ways of working as a team. I also advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices. I am driven by the idea of creating experiences that are crisp, semantic, and meaningful for all users. When I'm not mentoring or helping people create cool things, you can find me immersed in sci-fi, designing my next game or watching reruns of Star Trek.
