I started my education in Computer Science over 20 years ago. My hardware knowledge of the time was in-depth and allowed me to manage and repair increasingly outdated systems in unique ways.My relevant knowledge still transitions to current Operating System diagnosis and I am able to troubleshoot many Windows issues and some Linux issues. My previous training in hardware repair and software diagnosis and training allows me to approach many issues from a different viewpoint than most of my current colleagues and provide solution suggestions that are not from the standards of education today.In several of my previous Technical Support positions, I was commended for my ability to describe solutions from memory and describe to customers and employees in detail using uncomplicated terms what they should see on the screens and direct them to where to enter those solutions.My phone etiquette training also assists me with expressing myself over the phone in pleasing tones and also allows me to de-escalate emotional situations so people will be more receiving to complex directions.
