I spent most of my time with new founders helping get their first products off the ground and out into the marketI worked on so much here. Some great, some okay, some awful, and a lot of good stuff that kinda took a dive. Them's the breaks. In early-stage work things that are cool sometimes just don't pan out. It's a great lesson for a designer to learn because we like to believe if we do everything "right" we can "transform a business" which is a nice thought but honestly a big part of it is just luck (and good distribution)

Mindera are a product development agency that work with large businesses to digitally support their tech capabilities.Whilst here I contracted for clients such as Waitrose helping augment their internal product teams and led design for most of joint venture companies. I spent most of my time working on 0 → 1 stage products. Working with founders, product managers, and tech leads I ran problem discovery, design sprints, and early design to launch MVPs to market. Some worked out and were acq. (Hold), some didn't.

Originally a P2P loan platform for crypto-to-fiat loans. However, after and legal constraints – we pivoted to a crypto exchange platform. Worked side-by-side with HoP and Researcher to launch MVP in 3 monthsSome highlights:👉 Co-lead the discovery and production for MVP release. 👉 Using the Design Sprint, I helped run multiple qualitative user studies to test multiple prototypes👉 Pivoted company from P2P loan platform to easy-and-fast crypto exchange due to business requirements👉 Art directed brand identity, working with third-party agency👉 Executed design and launched MVP in 3 months, along-side marketing website 👉 Improved KYC flow to double activation rateWorking at HOLD not only introduced me into the world of FinTech but helped we work with a global team. Spanning across 2 continents, we worked on the early stages of a product – constantly iterating and improving our product with the feedback from our customers. Hillarys are a retail brand specialising in home furnishings. Whilst here I worked on our eCommerce websites, and also collaborated with the Marketing team to design and build landing pages and growth marketing tools.The most interesting project I worked on was a product that generated themed Pinterest boards based on styles you liked, which linked back to new ranges in our home furnishings. This was picked up by Pinterests and saw ~5,000 boards created.I also spent some time working on digital branding for new furnishing launches, as well as worked with our development agency to manage and build our design system.
