My career has been such an amazing journey - one filled with tremendous learning and growth. It has included non-profit work, product management, marketing, small business ownership and now consulting. My passion and my purpose is to serve those around me, whether that be in business or in life.And my journey from Energizer Personal Care to Scotts Miracle-Gro to Cardinal Health in Corporate America has led me to the world of insurance. Here I am blessed to work alongside my husband, fulfilling a dream we have had for many years. But what I am doing is different because I am not just "selling insurance" and slinging policies. Insurance is merely a tool for which I can best serve others. I work to identify risk within a business or family's life. With my love of strategy, uncovering insights and finding the right fit, I can analyze the areas where a family/business is most vulnerable and where they would be most susceptible to being unable to get back to wholeness after a loss. Whether a potential customer uses me or not, they will move forward better educated and better prepared to navigate risk in their lives.No one likes researching and talking about insurance. And business owners already wear so many hats that they don't have the time to allocate to insurance and risk management. Not to mention, many businesses don't the resources to employ a dedicated risk management position. But what they really don't like is finding out they are underinsured after a tragic event. This is where I come in! My value-added service is that I, and my team, serve as your risk manager. I am in the problem-solving business and I protect my clients from financial catastrophe. So everyone says they are different - how am I living up to this statement? 1) I have developed our 5A Risk Management process that evaluates a business's risk in totality - this safeguard's the future legacy of businesses.2) I calculate a business's total cost of risk which allows me to then identify areas to reduce the cost.3) I 'walk the walk" when I evaluate risk. That means conducting a location walk through, employee interviews, and sometimes I bring in a carrier risk consultant - all of these efforts are to identify, prioritize and mitigate risk.
