In 2019, I had my internship at Institute of Information Technology VietNam (IOIT) - a the leading IT research and implementation institute in Vietnam. Here, I had the opportunity to conduct research on handwriting recognition project. Specifically, my responsibilities were to investigate and research a technique to detect handwritting in scanned documents such as invoices, checks in banking sector. This project of mine was solved using SIFT feature extraction and Support Vector Machine. The result showed the drawbacks of implemented algorithms to high level of noise strength.
