Experience10/2015-Current: Maintenance Worker 2, Albany Engineered CompositesMaintain and repair manufacturing equipment including: Industrial ovens, carbon fiber braiding machinery, machine center equipment, vacuum pumps, and compressors. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance work on critical manufacturing equipment in the 100,000 sqft facility. Assist facility electrician with electrical repairs on both manufacturing equipment and facility electrical. Continually striving to learn new skills and improve upon the knowledge I already have.Accomplishments:Completed a project to design and build 30 portable vacuum pump systems to standardize all pumps across the facility allowing for improved downtime on these pumps. Improvements included metals carts instead of wood, several fittings so carts can be used on all equipment, and higher quality pumps that provide better reliability. Created a maintenance plan for the pump systems and perform these plans on a weekly basis.Completed a project to improve the PM maintenance plan for ovens. After creating and implementing these improvements downtime events associated with oven fuses decreased from almost daily to every 6 months. General maintenance and downtime was improved as a result of these PM plans.Currently working on a project to increase safety for employees that work on top of ovens by providing fall protection solutions.
