Our mission in the enrollment department is to recruit, retain and develop our students by providing a clear path to success through servant leadership. We empower our teams to positively impact students and communities with the resources needed to realize their career and educational goals. Being on our team since 2018, I am expected to work both individually and as a team to exceed goals and achieve high levels of employee satisfaction. This is accomplished by having a strategic plan, execute our core pillars, and cultivate a positive culture.

As a sixth grade teacher, I worked teaching 4 sections of reading, writing, world history, and STEM projects. Education is individualized for students to meet their level and challenge them in ways personalized for their learning goals. Students learned in settings outside of the classroom including Ecology Conservation programming at Lake Pleasant, JA Biztown for real world math concepts, and more. Outside of classroom hours, I focused on curriculum development, technology integration, collaboration with staff on various projects, and integration of subject areas to maximize learning time.

As a sixth grade math student teacher, I spent 2 weeks observing my mentor teachers lectures. I took over the classes for the remainder of the semester and was then in charge of lesson planning, lectures, small group work with students, grading assignments, creating assessments, and meeting 1-1 with students.In the four math classes there were two classes on level, one group below average, and one advanced group. It was my responsibility, with my mentor teachers guidance, to take the curriculum and meet each class at their level. Each weekly assessment provided us feedback on how students were responding to the lessons. During this semester, we were visited by the Arizona Department of Education during my lesson for an evaluation. After observing multiple teachers and administration in the school, Superstition Spring Elementary was deemed an A+ school, the highest level of excellence awarded in our district.As a Title 1 school, teachers and staff offered additional support to disadvantaged and low income students. These additional services include, free and reduced lunch costs, free tutoring, counseling with a school Psychologist, and literacy programs.
