Together, Flaherty Media and I design and produce two magazines: Private University Products and News (PUPN) and Productions (for show choirs across the country). PUPN is available in print and online each month and Productions is a bi-monthly online magazine. I am responsible for ad design and editorial layout along with social media upkeep and postings.

I also acted as Production Manager—troubleshooting problematic camera-ready ads, and prepping the issue for the printer. This was a long-distance relationship—we created this monthly magazine in different time zones, completely online. I designed ads, laid out all the editorial, and designed the covers. The May 2011 cover won first place at the annual meeting of Independent Free Papers of America.

At the Independent News I was responsible for laying out the paper every week from a production standpoint. I designed the page plan, kept the art and editorial departments on schedule, and made sure everything was wrapped up and to the printer on time. I also did a lot of technical troubleshooting with camera-ready ads.

As a Graphic Artist I designed ads and editorial pieces on a weekly basis. As Production Manager I created the page plan and prepped the pages and CRA for the issue. I was responsible for getting the issue to the printer and was on call on the weekends.
