I lead our team of creatives, empowering them to do their best work in creating memorable and effective learning experiences that drive organizational change for our clients. I take a very hands-on approach, spending a lot of my time in-the-trenches designing our products.I champion the brand and the vision for all of our learning products, ensuring that brand requirements are met and that any work done helps us achieve our business goals and is in-line with our long-term company strategy.

Hired on as a Learning Experience Designer with Smartfirm out of school where I focused on increasing the engagement of our learning programs by leveraging gamification principles and adult learning theory. Additional tasks included UI design, instructional design, content authoring, graphic design, video and motion graphic production, and much more. During this time I grew closer to the business, leading bigger and more important projects, until 2020 when I was considered for a role in Creative Direction.

I held a summer intern position at Smartfirm for the latter half of my undergraduate degree.The skills I learned during my internships include: general software development skills, proficient use of Articulate Storyline, the Adobe Creative Suite, efficient prototyping, engaging writing, immersive game design, interaction design, and more.The social skills gained here include: working both independently and on a small team, effective brainstorming, people and communication skills, and more.

Working at Uncommon Grounds, I got to explore my passion for coffee by immersing myself fully in its production and culture.
