I am a Software Engineer and run teams at Lazer. We are a top-class digital product studio composed of 60+ senior engineers and designers with backgrounds from Facebook, Apple, Coinbase, Uber, Google, and more, and have grown products from $0 to $200M+ in revenue.

Normative as a firm tends towards unusual bleeding edge, technology projects. Our approach is based on rapid prototyping with a inter-disciplinary blend of research, design and engineering. My work is mainly working with the technology teams to engineer applications but has also included in depth strategy and technical architecture planning for Normative's consulting clients.Secondarily there is a real commitment to thought leadership in the design & technology space at Normative. In connection with that I periodically lead company wide in depth learning sessions around emerging blockchain based technologies.

While at Symbility Intersect I worked on an application for a large U.S insurance provider that helps to simplify the complex time consuming process of making auto-insurance claims.

As a hired gun I helped CIBC roll out consumer facing banking products on their website.

I worked with Critical Mass to build out a custom responsive UI framework based on Bootstrap for use by the front end teams of an international bank. The framework will be deployed on their sites globally. We made use of an Agile methodology and: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Sass Grunt, Git.

I had the chance to work with a great team. Chaotic Moon is a big mobile interactive shop located in Texas with huge clients. The technology stack was mainly AngularJS, Gulp, Sass & jQuery coupled with Restful APIs on the backend. During my time there I worked mainly on 2 projects. I was on a team that was working on Tag Heur’s answer to the Apple watch. I also worked on a research and sales presentation tool for a company called Schlumberger (who you might have heard of if you were in the business of building oil drilling platforms). Using AngularJS as our framework we built software that allowed salesmen/consultants to drill down into Schlumberger’s expansive library of white papers and videos and then compile those assets for customized mobile presentations and sharing.

Over the course of 2 years our team designed, developed and deployed the initial public release of the cloud based Cloudspot.io application including the API, mobile responsive web galleries/print store (along with print store management UI), and the cross platform desktop application along with the backend system to manage it. As a Front End Developer and technical consultant I targeted and implemented site wide accessibility improvements to Tiff.net. The changes were implemented using a combination Javascript, jQuery, CSS, .Net, and HTML.

I worked with the technical and creative teams at CreativeD in a contract capacity, on their best in class Facebook based media card trading game 'Decksi'. The work was completed with a combination of HTML, Javascript, JQuery and object oriented AS3 and was rooted in the PureMVC framework.

I was brought on to contribute AS programming expertise to a great game development team working on a series of high volume multi-player Flash games for the Moola gaming platform. My position evolved over time and I eventually became responsible for managing and growing both the display and affiliate advertising programs. My work involved day to day management & optimization, strategy, identifying opportunities in the marketplace and establishing relationships with partner companies.
