Renee Wilkinson is a landscape architectural designer and author. She is a sixth generation Oregonian with a long-held reverence for Pacific Northwest landscapes. There's usually a lot of dirt under her nails.Renee holds a masters degree in landscape architecture and has worked for over a decade in the industry. Her project experience includes playgrounds, parks, cultural landscapes, trails, mixed-use, residential estates, and therapeutic gardens. She especially enjoys the art of planting design.Additionally, Renee is the published author of the book Modern Homestead. She has been a writer for a variety of landscape, environmental, and citizen science projects (with ASU, SciStarter, NLM, and IMLS). Credits include national magazines, ad campaigns, research projects, web, social, and more. Book readings, workshops, and lectures have taken her across the country. In 2022 Renee managed to find time to start a podcast all about home-cooking. It's called Cookbook Club and you should take a listen. She lives on a tenth of an acre in Portland, Oregon, with her spouse, three kids, rescue pets, urban chickens, and about 100,000 honeybees.
