As a 4th generation hispanic, with a father who worked in healthcare predominantly serving the hispanic/immigrant population, I was exposed at a young age to the inequities that many underserved populations must face in their daily lives. Since my youth I've wanted to dedicate my life to serving underrepresented and underserved communities. My passion for service has led to my involvement in numerous NGO's and a job in non-profit.In my short time as a young professional I have been able to develop many equitable programs at San Miguel Middle School. Some of which include the ongoing development of graduate support programs, the implementation of sports programs, as well as after school enrichment programs for students and alumni alike. Because of these efforts, I have gained effective experience in program management, relationship building, community engagement, event organization, and mentoring youth. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far and am looking forward to working for a brighter, more equitable, future for all.
