• Developed computer aided detection (CAD) algorithm for breast and lung cancer to identify malignant lesions on screening X-ray films as a sign of cancer in as early stage as possible. The developed algorism was the core of the company’s main products that produced annual revenue of more than $100,000,000 in 2003.• Worked in a company’s regulatory group with a responsibility for evaluating a performance of the CAD algorithm on more than 5,000 mammogram images and providing statistical data for documents submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration for the company’s product approval.

• Lead a team and supervised graduate students and technicians to perform R&D projects for a sub-atomic particle detector, front-end electronics system, and data acquisition system.

• Participated in a large experimental group to pursue experimental high-energy physics. Supervised technicians, engineers, and graduate students in detector construction, large volume data taking and processing, simulation, and physics data analysis. Published seven articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to more than 50 articles. Presented physics results at three international conferences as an invited speaker.
