My job role includes :-- Perform and conduct internal FMEA during product development and design phase- Secure supplier production quality during development by conducting Manufacturing Feasibility Review discussions with them.- Carrying out continuous improvement and cost optimization projects- Study supplier control plan, process flow, PFMEA and other product and process quality related documents- Approve development PPAP - Develop quality validation plans for new product or supplier- Conducting process audits on supplier sites- Approve and confirm finished product specifications.

My role comprises of operating CNC punch machine (Vipros 255 & Vipros 245) that includes various functions like making and setting a new job program, assembling required tools, setting the tools inside the machine turret, checking the righteousness and quality of tools used and job produced. Now, this role also extends to operating laser cutting machines, having track of parts cut on laser, their quality and setting other parameters according to the job. Along with this, I am also responsible to make regular maintenance of equipments used in fabrication department for a smooth functioning of the production line.

During this 6 week training I went through various manufacturing aspects of lathe machine production and got a hands on to the 4 Jaw lathe machines operating.
