Hayley-Jean began her career with the Pharmaceutical company Merck, as an account manager for the Central North Island; the largest of five territories in New Zealand. In 2003 she joined AstraZeneca UK as account manager for South West London and in 2010 relocated from London to the UAE with her husband and children. She joined the Embassy of Canada to the UAE in 2011, initially working with Consular and Immigration teams and then joining the Government of Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service, supporting Canadian companies with their international market entry strategies and due diligence, and helping exporters with their growth aspirations in the sectors of Oil & Gas, Sustainable Technologies, Mining, Defence & Security and Energy. In 2020, during the chaos of the pandemic, Hayley-Jean relocated her family to Cambridge, NZ and in 2022 she joined the Hamilton based Pharmaceutical Contract Manufacturer, PharmaNZ Limited, as their Brands Partner. Hayley-Jean holds a Bachelor of Science and Technology from the University of Waikato, New Zealand and a Master’s in Science (Clinical Research) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. She is also a Prince2 Practitioner.
