I was raised as a missionary kid in a former Soviet, Muslim country in Central Asia, but am now a full-time secular activist and science communicator. I'm a former board member of the Atheist Community of Tulsa and am a founding board member of the Faithless Forum Conference (the first-ever atheist/skeptic YouTube conference).I also co-hosted The Here and How Podcast with Stephen Woodford (Rationality Rules) and Rachel Oates. I love learning, have studied religion, the paranormal, and supernatural claims for over 2 decades, and in the last seven years, I’ve developed an insatiable thirst for knowledge – particularly science-based education. I love humanity and want to see it progress, so I fight for education and human rights, every chance I get. I’m not afraid to question the status quo, but try to do it with tongue-in-cheek humor, because life is too short to live it angry.​I’m also an international public speaker and travel extensively.
