About Heather Abbott
I have always had a passion for event planning, promotions, and public relations. After receiving my degree in communications from Virginia Tech I began my career in public relations and promotions by working for two of my favorite sports teams, DC United and the Baltimore Orioles. From there I worked a variety of positions in some great organizations before leaving Baltimore for beautiful Southwest Virginia. While raising my two wonderful boys I remain active in the administration and strategic planning for a variety of regional non-profit and education organizations focused on the quality of life and enrichment of experience for our youth. As a result, I have found myself heavily involved in the planning and coordination of a wide variety of community events, both large and small.
Listed skills include Public Relations, Event Planning, Newsletters, Press Releases, and 31 others.
