I was elected by my peers as Education Chair. This was a new position in the Fraternity so I was tasked with building the position from the ground up. This position helps brothers get access to the academic help they need in order to be successful in their academic lives. On this side, I have been building up a mentor program that pairs brothers in need of academic assistance with a brother who has shown the ability and leadership to provide help. I have also created ways for brothers to find study groups within the fraternity to help them improve their understanding of the classes they are in. The Education Chair also plans and executes professional development events for the fraternity. So far in this aspect, I have set up professional presentations where other brothers talk about internships or projects which they have done, in order to give the chapter insight into the professional world. I have also begun to create relationships with other professional organizations that we will partner with in the future. The final task of this position was to build the Internal Relations Committee. The Internal Relations committee helps plan brotherhood and professional events, as well as, planning the marketing for the Fraternity.
