My role as intern, for six months in Raymarine at Vannes (56), is to help for the software development of a new product. My job in the office at Vannes gives me the opportunity to go to the mother house of Raymarine in Southampton (UK) for some meetings with software engineers and system designers. I participate to the development of the software part by using my skills in Python and C++. With discussions with other engineers I try to find best solutions to develop an efficient code. Our programs are developed using different test driven development methods with frameworks/library like Google Test and Unit Test. First experience in Basingstoke (UK) for 3 months and half. My role in Aquatec LTD was to design and develop a new system for the temperature calibration of sensors :>> Automatic system used for adjusting the value of a digital potentiometer for changing the bath temperature after an hour.>> Development of basic functions to learn how to use a PIC microcontroller (push-button, led...).>> Read some technical documentations about the current equipment to find issues and to discuss about them.>> Send and receive data by using RS232 port. It is used to send data between computer and electronic board.>> Send and receive data by using SPI protocol to communicate with the digital potentiometer. With the help of a Logic Analyser.>> Create user interface with CVI/LabWindows to add a new module in the existing software.
